Even though I am a Democrat against gay rights and am working to move the country and our party towards a respect for traditional values, I wanted to list the some good things about being a Democrat in the United States of America!
5. willing to do what's right rather than politically expedient (much more than republicans) see: healthcare reform, auto bailout, tarp bailout, raising taxes
4. support for gun control (at least we do in theory)
3. support more government services to give people an equal opportunity like: universal healthcare, universal pre-k, grants and loans for college
2. against wars in Iraq (from beginning) and Afghanistan (now that it serves no purpose)
