Democrats for traditional marriage

It's clear we need:
Democrats against Gay Marriage and
Liberals against Gay Marriage

but that means we need our party to stand up not only in policy but in the public square for the sanctity of marriage. Alot of these terms have been corrupted by the Republican party, but that shouldn't deter us.

Our most famous couples are making a mockery of marriage. The latest being NBA star Tony Parker and "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria.

The first thing we need to do is to promote the idea of delaying marriage rather than having people rush in.

Next, we need to delegitimize the idea of a "no fault" divorce. It's not ok to get married, with the idea that if you're not happy, you'll get divorce.

Also, we need our art to support the institution. We need to promote happy endings for once married individuals staying married.

In addition, we need to eradicate the idea of the super-aggressive woman and the neutered man on tv and in the movies. Because in real life men aren't weak, but the women act out the values from Hollywood and pop culture. This creates a clash, where even the marriages that last are constantly in tension.

This is complicated but it must be dealt with.
