I give the Republicans credit in this sense: they are bold in their precriptions to change this country. But it is nonsense to change the Constitution because we have failed to secure our borders.
The biggest reason there is so much illegal immigration is because we want it! We want the cheap labor, and the people to do jobs that we don't generally want to.
If we really want to stop illegal immigration that santion employers of them. Deny public services to them.
But don't change the U.S. Constitution. Everytime there's a comtemplated change, it invites others to offer different amendments. That leads to instability.
Our society is fragile and we must guard it carefully.
