1. House passes Senate Healthcare Bill
2. President Obama signs it before State of the Union
3. President offers bipartisan panel (on CSPAN) to "fix" bill and make it better
The President should publicly invite Senator Scott Brown (R-Mass) and four other Republicans to offer ways to improve the bill. Obama should have principles in "the fix":
no one entitled to receive healthcare in the bill will lose it.
any change must further lower the cost of healthcare.
eliminate as many special deals as possible and don't add any more.
