What if President Obama was planning to exit Afganistan and actually do the right thing by bringing our troops home. And then what if Senator Lieberman who prides himself on being a hawk made a deal:
Surge in Afganistan and I will make sure you have the votes to pass healthcare.
Obama was probably torn on his foreign policy anyway, and Lieberman was probably going to vote for healthcare in the end anyway.
If the surge works and Healthcare reform works everyboy wins.
