Having a fetus testify is pretty creative

I salute the pro lifers in having a pregnant woman's fetus testifyat a hearing:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A fetus has been scheduled as a legislative witness in Ohio on a unique bill that proposes outlawing abortions after the first heartbeat can be medically detected.

Faith2Action, the anti-abortion group that has targeted Ohio to pilot the measure, called the in-utero witness the youngest to ever come before the House Health Committee at 9 weeks old.

Faith2Action president Janet Folger Porter said the intent is to show lawmakers who will be affected by the bill, which abortion rights groups oppose. Ohio Right to Life has not endorsed the measure.

An aide to committee Chairman Lynn Wachtmann said a pregnant woman will be brought before the committee and an ultrasound image of her uterus will be projected onto a screen. The heartbeat of the fetus will be visible in color.


Here are my questions for the witness(es):

Would you say there are 1 or 2 witnesses here today?
If two, then what rights do you (the mom) have independent of the baby?

With all due respect, if the baby grows in a way that medical technology says will kill you, do you believe the baby's right to live is 100% equal to your right to live so that doctors should determine simply which of you has the best chance and save that one?

If it is determined that the baby needs a certain vitmain that will make you totally nauseous for all the pregnancy, do you have any rights to refuse? What if that refusal will severely impact the baby's intelligence or brain development?

If God forbid, you miscarry would you have a funeral exactly like you would for your other children? again God forbid?


I respect the pro life side, but ultimately if we want a free society, we have to have a pro choice nation.

Should we seek out proactively women to test them ti see if their pregnant? Because scientifically, at one point in their life, most women have miscarriages without even knowing the pregnant, also women do dangerous things not knowing their pregnant?
