President Bush defends himself

He was disgusted by Kanye West's statement following Katrina, "George Bush doesn't care about black people".

Yet, watching the extended video. I must re-affirm my original position (I think) that Kanye West was an idiot. To say something so wrong and potentially hateful.

What's more, he sounds even more crazy throughout his other rants about giving to the suffering people.

President Bush should have called him out on all of it. In fact, the media should have.

I proudly voted for Gore in 2000, not so proudly for Kerry in 2004, obviously for President Obama in 2008, and the Democrats yesterday.

Any normal thinking black man would do the same. But that doesn't mean or justify such slander about President Bush. Other Republicans maybe. Some Democrats maybe. But not President Bush. He's earned much more respect than that. From being a "Compassionate Conservative" , to all of his appointments, and his general approach to politics.
