Two ideas about healthcare

Within our healthcare system, a truly competitive marketplace could compete on:

-hours available for routine visits

I imagine most people would be willing to pay more if they could get routine doctors' visits from say 6pm - 10pm weeknights and maybe 7am to 5pm on weekends.

-offering a variety of plans that either emphasized or de-emphasized prevention

Imagine if we could pay less for healthcare if we committed to follow doctors' orders concerning eating habits, exercise, and other lifestyle changes.

---
We need the government to guarantee access but not to control the actual delivery of healthcare.

A properly designed system can have competition between providers, and allow consumers purchasing power.

At some level we either have to change our choices as Americans or ration care.
I prefer to expand our options and make better decisions voluntarily.
