Senator Ruben Díaz Sr., a Bronx Democrat who is the chamber’s most outspoken opponent of same-sex marriage, raised new concerns that his allegiance to the Democratic caucus might be wavering in the wake of the governor’s vow on Sunday night to force a vote on the matter before lawmakers leave town.
“If the governor tries to bring issues that we’re not supposed to be talking about, there’s going to be problems,” said Mr. Díaz, declining to elaborate. “Let’s see what they bring to the table.”
His only probelm is that he needs more help in our party standing up for traditional values that make us a great nation. I am happy to see Democrats actually meaning what they say rather than political posturing.
Keep up the good work!
