Obama making too many Clinton choices

Some have said that it was inevitable that so many people with connections to the Clinton administration and Bill and Hillary themselves would be chosen to work in the new Obama government. That is false and spin.

Hillary doesn't have to be in the new cabinet (though she would be a grea choice
Rahm Emanuel wasn't necessary
Eric Holder could easily be replaced with a qualified newcomer.

Obama could have chosen a whole new generation of smart capable people to populate the government. He could have signaled that the old way of doing business was outdated. But instead Obama has shown that this Democrat is similar to the last Democrat.

The fact is President elect Obama is showing who he really is through his choices. All throughout this campaign Obama has always chosen the safe route, the reassuring route for those who would fear him. That's fine for me because as a former Hillary supporter, it shows that Obama wasn't/isn't a radical I should fear.

But for those who really believed the "change" rhethoric, the joke is on you.

The change is in an African American winning the POTUS.

The change is in Democrats taking over the government when just a few years ago Republicans looked to be building a permanent majority.

The change is in the attitude and tone, but the policies will basically be the same, for better or worse.

I hope there is a change in education policy where we embrace freedom with school choice.

With Obama dissappointing so many of his most fervent supporters, I still have hope on that one.
