Reason McCain choose Governor Palin:
well qualified 17%
to win election: 75%
This is not a shocker since McCain really hasn't tried to hide the fact that Palin is not well qualified. She is not well or simply qualified. We need to reform our nominating process so that there is actually a practical way for the political parties to reject running mate choices that are ridiculous. Because what happens is that the partisans will inevitably accept whomever is chosen, and the opposition's attacks will seem to be petty even if true. The media is hesitant to call it fair so we end up with unqualfied people in line for the Presidency.
