citizens should identify themselves before voting

The right to vote is one of the most cherished rights in America. It needs to be safeguarded on an individual level, but also from the voter fraud and tallying process.

25 states have no general requirements for voter id , and of those that have some restrictions they still don't have a universal approach that would guarantee the sanctity of the individual casting the vote.

Also, we need federal standards on the types of machines, a paper trail for audits, and more transparent standards and rules to prevent fraud in the tallying process after the votes have been cast. The process should not be left up to partisan individuals who may create or enforce rules to benefit their preferred candidate.
