When do lawmakers pass laws that people in their immediate community find insensitive and offensive?
Many Republicans proclaim their Christian faith. This is a good opportunity to practice it.
The new law demands that people be able to show that they are here legally. This is going to affect Latino people disportionately. Whether they are legal or not.
Imagine a law that would affect white people (and any other group) similarly whether they are innocent or not?
That should be the guiding principle.
