Gay Marriage and no one cares

I'm in the Washington D.C. area. Gays can now get married in the District.

No one cares. Unfortunately.

That is the plan. Pass the law, change our culture, and then move on and let it become the new "normal".

I give the radicals credit for coming up with a good plan.

We who believe in traditional marriage have to be even more clever to save the institution of marriage.

The biggest impediment is that divorced people feel hypocritical commenting on the topic. And with there being so many divorces, that limits the discussion.

We have to look beyond ourselves to what kind of society we should have, and want to leave for our children.

Be bold and accept the name-calling for the sake of doing what's right.

Marriage matters. It is one of the pillars of our successfull society.
Gay marriage is but the latest attack.
So as we repel this one we need to focus on:

money issues
male/female dynamics
tax policy
infidelity
fornication before marriage
community/friends/family support

We need to stand on principles that will outlast all of us.
