Respect for President Bush

Many are saying that President Obama is trying to do too much too fast.
I disagree.

While I might argue over what he should be doing, he should try to do as much as possible as fast as he can.

President Bush did it correctly. At one point he had a 90%+ approval rating. He pursued what he thought was right. This inevitably infuriates those opposing him. Especially those who think his initial election was not valid and should have tempered his agenda.

Yet, he used all of his political capital and left office rated as one of the worst by the left-leaning media and historians.

Time will judge the true value of his term, but President Bush can feel good for trying to do what he honestly thought was right, and sacrificing his popularity, at least at the moment.
