Medical malpractice reform

President Obama is correct to signal to Republicans that he is ready to address malpractice refrom as part of a heatlhcare overhaul. If a doctor does what is the correct protocol and acts in good faith, they should not be subject to a lawsuit for errors. There should be provisions to help cover the costs of the error but not some kind of punishment.
