Shameful Republican partisanship

Unfortunately, Sherrod Brown's mother passed away. Yet, he has been summoned back to Washington so he can be the 60th vote to break a Republican filibuster. Yes, that's right. The Republicans have lost the vote to block the Stimulus bill, but they are now just being petty.

Are you telling me that one of the most conservative members whose "conservative credientials" can't be questioned couldn't vote to end debate for the sake of comity?

Regardless of the issue, I would want me and those on my side to work together better than this.

They forced a man with brain cancer (Senator Kennedy), and a man grieving his mom (Senator Brown) to vote on a plan that was going to pass, and it will pass regardless of the circumstances.

It is easy to talk about family values and morality.
We all must strive to practice it when it matters most.
That is during difficult times.
