True Patriotism from the Left

It is easy to say good things about America today as we now have a President Obama.

The test, hypothetically today, but certain sometime in the future is:

What happens, and how do you feel and act when your favored candidate loses.

I would love America 100% as much today if John McCain had won.

I certainly would have done so if Hillary Clinton had won, because I initially supported her in the Primaries.

This is a great land that didn't need the vindication of an Obama victory.

Sure it is great. It is historic. As an African American it is full of symbolism.

But the country is no more perfect today than the day before the 2008 election.

We are a great country because of our adherence to laws 365 days of the year.
We are great because the problems are the exception and not the rule.
We are great because we make an effort to do good every day.

As Democrats we need to accept our virtue and take ownership.
