NFL player shot and seriously injured

Jags lineman Richard Collier shot, has life-threatening injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Jaguars player Richard Collier suffered life-threatening injuries after he was shot while waiting for some women outside an apartment early today, authorities said.

I hope Richard Collier recovers quickly from this horrible crime.

I also wish that people would work harder to put themselves in good positions so that if something happens they can be satisfied they were in the right place doing the right thing.

It is not the right place doing the right thing waiting outside for women early in the morning. While the facts may show the player didn't do anything "wrong" in a legal or even a moral sense, it is just not wise to be in that position.

This is a lesson we can teach everyone: work hard to be in the right position and do the right thing as much as possible. If/When tragedies do occur you will know you couldn't have done anything about it, and that you didn't contribute to the negativity. In fact you will be building positive opportunities.
