There are conservatives of the right and the left, who make up their mind on an issue based on ideology, religion, interest group politics, etc. I'm a liberal, a newliberal who looks at every issue and tries to determine what is right based on facts and logic. That's how I can be a liberal Democrat who is against gay marriage because science itself has a preference for male - female relationships over all others.
