Why Republicans are trying to suppress the vote

There are numerous tactics nationwide that Republicans are using that will result in less people voting:

* purging voter rolls of "felons" which has proven to mistakenly purge eligible voters in past
* voter id laws.  Which add one more (small) barrier for some to vote
* eliminating many early voting opportunities


Why?

A poll of non-voters and unlikely voters shows Obama crushing Romney 

so it's simple, the more people that vote.  The better it is for the Democrats and the President
